Whether it was a prom-night pimple or something more serious, many of us know what it feels like to be ashamed of our skin. Skin problems like acne, psoriasis and rosacea can often be uncomfortable, isolating and embarrassing.

For celebrities, life in the public eye can mean that skin problems are also the subject of tabloid fluff and hurtful judgments.

However, some celebs have spoken up about dealing with problem skin, or used their star power to shed light on important skin issues. Here are five that we can all learn from.
